Akari - Japanese Kitsune - Size 7

Meet Akari, the Kitsune.

In Japanese, her name means "brightness in the dark"

Kitsune is the Japanese word for Fox. Over time Kitsune became somewhat of an umbrella term used by American's (and others) to define not only the physical form of the fox but also the spiritual form of the shape-shifting entity of Japanese folklore.

The Kitsune's are actually divided into 2 types. Basically, the good and the bad. The "bad" kitsunes, although very loyal and fierce protectors, are tricksters, and are often hard to handle even with the strongest of bindings. They are known by the dark coloring of their coats.

The "good" Kitsune's, most often white, silver, light gray, and beige in color, are excellent companions. They are very loyal, friendly, social, and extremely intelligent beings.

What defines the Kitsunes amongst their breed is their wisdom and knowledge. As they mature, they gain more knowledge, ability, strength, and power. With this maturation, they also gain a physical aspect in order to distinguish them from the younger, less wise, Kitsunes.

This physical aspect is a tail.

The most powerful and wise of the Kitsune race will have 9 tails. Once this 9th tail is fully grown (it takes about a year), they are considered an elder...a counsel member and Royalty amongst the breed itself. Once they mature this far in life, age no longer dictates them. They do not even ackowledge their birth...only life.

Each Kitsune is as diverse as you and I. Almost all of them have abilities in the animal department, but other than that, they are each individuals, both in their personality as well as their ability.

They are shape-shifters and can transform themselves into a humanoid. ALWAYS, your Kitsune will have a "tell" whether its elongated or pointy ears, claws, pads on the bottoms of their human-looking feet, pointed teeth, a patch of fur, or even a tail when in their human-like form.

Akari's 9th tail will be fully developed by mid-July.

She is not tollerant of harming others but will utilize various gray types of magicks that work towards the greater good if a situation calls for it.

She does tollerate the presence of demonics in her fold, but do know that she will not work side by side with them in a team like environment. She would be best paired with dragons, khodam, fae, unicorns, etc.

She has a wonderful, loving, and very friendly personality. She is charastimatic, loyal, and ever helpful. She is also very social and at times, will talk quite a bit about her experiences over the years.

She is the type of companion that youll want to have as a life-long friend, not merely a servant. She wishes only to help you and guide you on your journey through life.

Like most Kitsunes, she is not an overly needy being. She would much rather have a "thank you" or a "compliment" over an offering.

Her vessel is a sterling silver ring with genuine amethyst and diamonds! It is a size 7.
