Spirited Enterprise

I haven't been practicing magick for long, but I've been attracted to it for years. I'm currently 21 and have yet to succeed in casting a single spell. I am proud to say I'm good at writing a spell, which was proven when I supplied a spell to a friend and it worked very quickly and affectively. I believe my problem as stated by others is I need to learn the basics first and I am currently stuck on meditation. A reading performed for me revealed that I was trying to do too much at once and open my third eye at the same time. I believe the third eye bit was a metaphor for simply learning magick or meditation as I am not currently trying to open my third eye. I believe that until I empty my plate of some of my problems and lessen my work load meditation won't work, but I don't plan to stop trying. If anything this makes me want to try harder. Due to being in college, although it is only a two year one, I can't really lessen my workload, but I hope that it will drop some sooner or later. I joined this site to learn and hopefully discover more about myself. My original goal for learning meditation was to tap into my magick, but now I have come to the desire to meet my spirit guide.
