One of the oldest folk remedies for grief is called a grieving string or grieving necklace.
It works best when worn around the neck, hung around a bedpost or handled when grief sneaks up on you.
Some people even like to hang a small strand in their car.
What you need:
Whole cloves
Whole juniper berries
Thick Sewing needle
Strong red thread or string that can be threaded through your needle eye
Soak the cloves and berries overnight in a natural water source - spring or rain water works best but even lake water or unfiltered bottled water will do in a pinch.
When the spices are soft enough to thread, take your needle and string/thread and thread an alternating strand of spices until its long enough to tie and slip over your head.
The scent of the spices, when mingled promotes a soothing, calm and collected energy.
Alternatively, you could mix these spices in a pouch to carry in your pocket.
