All My Exes Live In Hexes

Posted by spiritedenterprise on January 14, 2014 at 12:10 AM

Ok, so that’s not exactly true. I haven’t hexed my exes…or at least, not all of them HA!!

I wanted to take a moment to clear up some common misconceptions about hexing and the different types.

First, there are hexes that target a person as a whole. This kind of hex affects everything the target does in life from the moment you place the hex on them for either the rest of their life or until you remove it. These kind of hexes are known by several titles depending on the type of tradition from which they originate…whole hexes, life hexes, long term hexes, target hexes, just to name a few.

Second, there are situational hexes. These hexes affect a specific situation within the target’s life; a specific job, a specific relationship, etc. Once that situation is over/has ended then the energy if your hex dissipates until its completely gone.

Third, there are aspect hexes. These hexes affect a specific aspect of the target’s life; all romantic relationships, all career paths and opportunities, all of one’s wealth or possibilities of wealth. This energy will last a lifetime.

It’s important that you know the differences if you decide that hexing someone is something that you really want to do. In the same sense, if you’re affected by a hex, its also important to know the differences so that you know how they can be removed.

The purpose of my previous response was to share my experience with hexery. I was in no way attempting to send a rebuttal to SE/MM very informative descriptions/views on hexes. Actually, I very much agree! Again, my only attempt was to share my experiences with this subject & the variables involved.

Im not saying that hexing should be taken lightly. Nothing in magick should be taken lightly.
I just wanted to explain that there are different types. There is this common misconception that a hex is a hex and that just isnt true.

Some hexes are done out of spite. Some are cast as revenge for something the target has done. Some are cast simply because the person behind the hex is evil, jealous and petty. Other times, hexes are cast out of love.

The reason for the hex is up to the person behind it.
Although I agree that all magick should be used responsibly, I don't agree that a hex should always be a last resort. Sometimes you come across a situation where a hex is probably the only magick that will bring a quick end to a situation.

Many situational hexes can be used with a greater good in mind AND, dont involve ruining someone's life.

That's why I wanted to explain the differences. Just because someone places a hex on another person, that doesnt mean that the person behind it is an evil or ruthless individual.

When I first began my magickal/spiritual path years ago, I studied for a long time the theories & ethics of hexery. Hexing itself is an art form that shouldn't be taken lightly. Also, someone true intentions/motives for placing the hex/curse, can also affect the overall magicks involved. Thus, sometimes adding potency or reducing it. Atleast,in my experience. Thus for me & maybe for others, hexery should only be done if there are no other options. As well as, self defense againt preditory & hateful actions directed toward you. Again, I base this on my own experiences. And NO, I do not regret taking such actions. Because the actions of people. Especially,if those actions are cruel & evil. Makes the powerful & amazing art of hexery warranted. However, just like magicks overall. Hexing/cursing is not a game! And true intentions will always manifest and come full circle. Karma is a BITCH!
